APPORTIONED (IRP) ACCOUNTS

Apportion vehicle means any vehicle that is used in 2 or more states and is:

   1. A power unit having 2 axles and a GVW in excess of 26,000 LBS or

   2. A power unit having 3 or more axles regardless of weight or

   3. Used in combination when the weight exceeds 26,000 LBS

These accounts can only be done in Albany. We make weekly trips to the Albany DMV and can have these plates for you within 1 week. We also have contacts in Albany and can expedite this process within 3 days if needed.

HVUT – HEAVY HIGHWAY USE TAX (2290)

Any vehicle with a gross weight of 55,000 LBS or more is required to file and pay a tax to the IRS when first used on public highways. We have very easy access to the IRS so we can file this form for you within a few days or we can expedite same day service if needed.

MC NUMBER

Companies that operate “FOR HIRE”, carriers that transport passengers or federally regulated commodities, or arrange for their transport in interstate commerce are also required to have interstate operating authority. FMCSA operating authority is also referred to as and “MC”, “FF”, or “MX” number, depending on the type of authority that is granted.

MVT-MOTOR VEHICLE TAX STAMP

If your business is located in NYC or you do 50% of your business in NYC you are required to obtain a commercial motor vehicle tax stamp. We make weekly trips to the dept of finance. We can submit paperwork within the proper time frame. Stamps will be mailed directly to you within 3 weeks. We can also expedite this process if needed.

QUARTER HUT & IFTA FILINGS

HUT (MT903) – Taxes must be paid according to the miles traveled in NYS quarterly or monthly depending on the size of your fleet.

IFTA(IFTA100) – Taxes must be paid quarterly according to the miles and FUEL purchased in each state traveled.

NYS HUT PERMITS

Under the highway tax article 21 of the tax law every motor vehicle with a gross weight of 18,000 LBS or more and travels on NYS highways is required to obtain a NYS-HUT permit. Any vehicle that transports FUEL is required to obtain and AFC permit. We are authorized to issue these permits through our office. Depending on whether you have an exiting account with the tax department we can usually issue them immediately.

PERMANENT IFTA LICENSE/DECALS – INTERNATIONAL FUEL TAX AGREEMENT

The international fuel tax agreement is for trucks with a GVW over 26.000 LBS operating interstate. Trucks are required to have a decal placed on each side of the vehicle. We are authorized to issue these permits through our office. Depending on whether you have an exiting account with the tax department we can usually issue them immediately. Decals will be mailed directly to you within 3 weeks.

TEMPORARY TRIP & FUEL PERMITS

UCR – UNIFIED CARRIER REGISTRATION

UCR requires individuals & companies that operate commercial vehicles with a GVW of 10,001 LBS or more in interstate or international commerce to register their business with NYS & pay an annual fee based on the size of your fleet. Revenues generated are used for enforcement of motor carrier safety programs. We can pay and obtain proper credentials within 1 hour. (Most cases)
